The Healthiest Diet in the World




What if I told you there's a diet that will help you lose weight, feel great, have more energy, give you clear glowing skin, afford you the ability to protect yourself against life threatening medical problems, reverse many common illnesses such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers. Would you try it? If the answer is yes than read on!


Atkins, South Beach,The Zone, Paleo are all diets that promise quick weight loss. We have an array of healthy food options and gym and fitness centers at every corner yet 70 percent of the population is overweight with a mind-blowing 38 percent categorized as obese. Why? Because everyone is looking for a quick fix to weight loss with the recognizing the dire consequences. Atkins, South Beach,The Zone, Paleo are all diets that promise quick weight loss but most of these diets have proven to not be sustainable in the short term and worst of all, damaging to your health in the long run.


The healthiest diet in the world is the whole food plant based diet. But most people are not willing to do what it takes to change their diet for the better. If you want dietary excellence you need to jump right in. It's the only way to learn first hand what the best diet is and see the results for yourself. If you had type 2 diabetes and I told you that you can reverse it with just diet and exercise, would you try it? If a loved one had heart disease and the only way to reverse the disease was to eat plants and whole foods would you encourage them to try and make healthier food choices? Whole eggs, lobster, salmon, chicken and beef have the highest cholesterol. But do you know how much cholesterol all plant foods have? ZERO. Same for oatmeal, beans, potatoes, rice and fruit. But the problem is not that we don't know what works, the problem is that most people are not willing to put in the effort to make the necessary changes.


As I've gotten older I've leaned more and more toward a WFPB diet which has helped me cure some of my own ailments such as bloat, migraines, hemorrhoids, bad skin, and most recently Malasma due to hormonal imbalance. Here's some other ailments the diet can cure: high cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugars and relief from indigestion and arthritis. This way of eating will inevitably lead to a reduction in healthcare costs as well.


The original version of the Atkins diet encouraged people to eat almost exclusively food made up of meat, poultry, cheese, butter, fish, eggs and vegetable oils without any carbohydrates. This diet clearly lacks dietary fiber, vitamin C, essential carbohydrates and, thousands of other nutrients. We have since learned through experience and research that eating a high-fat, low carbohydrate, animal based diet is wrong. But today's so called "health experts" continue to vilify wheat and carbs and encourage people to avoid rice, corn and potatoes. What's left? Animal foods, vegetable oils, and a few non-starchy vegetables, the same foods once approved on the Atkins diet.


The wealthier we are the higher the consumption of meat, dairy foods and vegetable oils. And the consumption of these foods have more than doubled over the past 35 years while the consumption of rice has decreased. As a consequence the health of people worldwide has deteriorated during this same period with alarming, near epidemic increases in obesity, heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The fact is that it's the food that's making us fat and sick.


I love being healthy so much that I will eat whatever you tell me to eat to stay healthy into old age without having to take medications. I want to be able to enjoy a long healthy life way into retirement and beyond. Luckily there are plenty of delicious whole foods that will fill you up and keep you healthy and fit.


So, what's stopping you from eating the healthiest diet in the world? If you are suffering from any of the ailments mentioned above I would encourage you jump in with both feet. You have so much to gain and so little to lose. You can also start small by selecting a few days a week to eat only plants. Figure out what foods you love and find recipes that are plant based and nutritious. You can eat the same meals several times a week. Or make a big pot of stew that the whole family will enjoy. sclerosis, diabetes or cancers of the breast, colon, or prostate.
